What's New in Designer 3.0.1

Designer 3.0.1 is a maintenance release. Below are key themes for the 3.0 release. 3.0.1 contains minor enhancements and several bug fixes. For details, click the links off to the right.

Team Enablement

Collaboration with teams on enterprise-level projects. Version control allows you to version whole projects down to individual policies. The operations include commit, update, compare, history, project tagging, and conflict resolution. There's also support for single-user mode, which allows you to archive your projects, track your changes, and retrieve specific revisions.

Support for Identity Manager 3.6

This allows you to build solutions for the latest version of Identity Manager with new configuration settings, health check support, and many new DirXML Script capabilities for building business policies.

Enhanced Productivity

New capabilities have been added to every component of Designer. Steps have been reduced, visual elements improved, the driver configuration wizard has been simplified, better value checking, more intelligent import/deploy, better documentation and contextual help, new project checks, the ability to add comments in many areas, etc. We encourage you to click through the details of each milestone and acquaint yourself with all of these new capabilities.

Role-based Provisioning

Includes role editor, separation of duties editor, and roles catalog, and role file import functionality. Provisioning Request Definition enhancements include three new activities: role binding, role request, and start workflow.

Enhanced Simulation

Visual builder for input documents, project management of those documents, simulation of the entire channel, named password queries, etc.

Richer Document Generation

Support for all of the new Identity Manager features as well as dataflow, named passwords, contact information, password synchronization options, filter comments, etc.
